Our assignment week with Lilla Rogers' Make Art That Sells is over and I submitted my final illustration to the gallery along with other beautiful iPhone covers, you can see it here. We will be taking a break for the rest of this week and in the meantime we can work on our current projects. Our first assignment as I mentioned in my previous post was a Cuckoo Clock, which we later learned that we will be incorporating that for the iPhone cover. Hooray!
I always wanted to design and illustrate my own iPhone cover, but there was no need for it and I just put it off. Well this was a great chance to do it, also what an amazing environment to do it in with other amazing artists. Lilla created a group on Facebook for all the participating boot campers so we can share, encourage and inspire each other :)
I started off with lots of sketches, when I was comfortable with the direction I was going my next step was to scan them and color the once I loved. Well of course deciding on the final piece is never easy :)
So I had few versions, but in the end chose the one that I would want to carry around on my phone. I am happy with the results and also happy that Lilla encourages us to list and sell what we create for this Bootcamp in our shops ( I will have a shop in Society6 soon). Thank you Lilla and the team!
Here are some other versions that might end up in my shop :)
